The state of the mind in the morning is always based on the status of rest over the night. Whenever rest is disturbed by fear and anxiety over the threat from the Destroyer, there are little option for the mind. In spite of the manifestation of the charisma of the Destroyer over family, work, and social relationships, the character of the Defender of the righteous is dependable. Confidence that lead the faithful to the prayer mountain can be easily destroyed by unyielding challenge out of the mountain. When confidence in God is clear, communication with heaven becomes a necessary bail-in lifestyle rather than a needful bail-out lifeline.

http://bible.us/psa4.8.nkjv I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; For You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety. Insecurity is a threat to any person and nation. Irrespective of its nature, whether social or economic, ‎the threat of insecurity can bring distress, disappointment and death. Although king David was in great distress from social insecurity, he had the inner peace that was undisturbed by external threat. It implies that external and material prosperity cannot guarantee inner peace. No wonder the richest man on earth identified wealth and affluence as vanity. Assuredly, perfect peace comes from God alone.

Selah Apart from its effective cleansing of the eyeballs, the tear gland provides a great expression of humility in the face of sorrow and distress. It is often said that it is not expected for kings to cry. However, King David cried to the King of kings. Unlike his type of cry, a cry to a man can be greatly disappointing and depressive. This is because help from above cannot be obtained by looking straight or down. Therefore, a healthy cry to the Lord on His holy hill takes away the burden from every heavy heart.

In spite of the previous privilege and position of David, people's assessment of his present experience is rejection and outcast. Whereas, trouble thought David precious experiences; and this was more than what prosperity can afford. While it takes discipline to look up in the face of prosperity, trouble teaches a humble soul the lifting of holy hands. Therefore, the help of man can be a favour from the Lord; but the lack of favour from man is not necessarily a shortage of divine assistance. ‎

http://bible.us/psa2.8.nkjv Ask of Me, and I will give You The nations for Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth for Your possession. ‎ The earth is filled with beautiful places that reveals the wonder of creation. The wealth of every nation remains the strength of her possession. Needless to mention that the superiority of the King or President ‎of any nation is based on the strength of the nation's possession, economically or politically. Unfortunately, the desire for material possession often drive man or nation away from God, who is the source of creation. Although religion opens the way for the possession of the ways of God, it cannot replace the possession of God. Whenever man is possessed of God, he possesses the key to the possessions of the Creator of the ends of the earth. Therefore, the secret of pleasant possession is God's possession of person.

A sympathy delight in the affair of people draws passion to participate in counseling, mentorship, but sometimes in destructive criticism. This implies that the limit of good sympathy is the boundary between righteousness and unrighteousness. Unlike sympathy delight, ‎the inspired Psalms present the blessedness in righteous delight: avoiding the counsel of the ungodly, the path of sinners and the seat of the scornful. For example, a delight for peace in marital problem will not promote divorce as perceived solution to irreconcilable differences in relationships. Counsel, path, or assembly which violates the law of God may sound reasonable to man, it does not attract the blessing of God. Whereas, the delayed laughter of a Righteous Delight will not only guarantee non-denial; it laughs best at the right season.

"He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming quickly.” Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!". (Revelation 22:20 NKJV) Empty expectation in life can easily be accepted as a sign of idleness. Whereas idle minds are not necessarily unoccupied. They are actually prepared as satan's workshop, bearing negative expectations. Besides, active minds are equally occupied with the needs on earth; while necessary preparation for the end of earth is ignored. But while the statement of the Lord through current events in all the nations of world " Surely I am coming quickly " cannot be mistaken, the expectations of many are obviously mistaken by their attachments to personal agenda. Therefore, the grace to daily expect the coming of the Lord cannot be obtained outside a daily devotion with the Lord.
