Strong Support

 ”He delivered me from my strong enemy, From those who hated me, For they were too strong for me. They confronted me in the day of my calamity, But the Lord was my support. He also brought me out into a broad place; He delivered me because He delighted in me.“ Psalms‬ ‭18‬:‭17‬-‭19‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Everyone knows that the stability of any man depends on his support system. People do invest strategically in building strong support systems and political networks, mainly in preparation for battles against the enemy or opposition. Unfortunately, no matter how strong the support system, human support systems can only stand for a short while. Students of history can attest to almost a similar rhythm with the rise and fall of kingdoms, thrones, and earthly political structures. But in all the ages past and present, the only support system that has withstood the test of time is the support system that is built on the Lord. While many religious people can readily fake confidence in God’s support system, laced with their strong confidence in human networks and wicked manipulation, not many people can attest to the testimony of a strong support in the Lord like the psalmist. Oftentimes, God does allow believers to experience the opposition with overwhelming physical, political, and material networks to access their sincere source of confidence. Therefore, anyone who has discovered the uncompromising delights of the Lord in the prosperity of the righteous will always build in God his strong support, no matter the overwhelming strength of all other support systems with conflict of interests.

Best Bride

Honourable Honesty

  “ Let the saints be joyful in glory; Let them sing aloud on their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, And a two-edged sword in their hand, To execute vengeance on the nations, And punishments on the peoples; To bind their kings with chains, And their nobles with fetters of iron; To execute on them the written judgment— This honor have all His saints. Praise the Lord! ” Psalms 149 : 5 - 9 NKJV In seasons of afflictions and persecution from a culture of dishonesty, “ Let the saints be joyful in glory; Let them sing aloud on their beds ” appears distasteful.
