Fresh Fruit
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.”
Galatians 5:22-23 NKJVhttps://www.bible.com/114/gal.5.22-23.nkjv
The fertility of uncultivated field is unknown until after the pruning and cultivation session. And with proper management of the law of cultivation, even futile field can become fertile and fruitful with the breaking of the fallow grounds. Likewise, the proper application of the law in rules and regulations can restrain the manifestation of the works of the flesh in every relationship at home and in the society. Notwithstanding, in the absence of the consistent influence of the Spirit of God, the heart of any man is easily manipulated by the flesh. Therefore, the scriptures promote the gateway of walking in the Spirit as superior to the management of fertility by the law. The fruit therefrom is not just regulated by the law, but renewed by the Spirit of God. For instance, whenever we struggle with love in the atmosphere of hatred, or joy in our moment of bitter experiences, or peace in an hostile environment, we can be sure that praying for a change of the externalities is not sustainable. A sustainable change comes from the inside, where the heart is fully cultivated by the grace of God, bringing genuine salvation and the fresh fruit of the Spirit.
