Portal Pass

“Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God. And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight.”
‭‭I John‬ ‭3:21-22‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

In anticipation of the gradual global ease of lockdown towards a long-awaited passport pass across international boarders, travellers should expect stricter measures and requirements in boarder control. Security checks on carry-on luggage are expected to be compounded by frustrating infection checks on checked-in passengers. Notwithstanding, no matter the level of sophistication in human scrutiny, obtaining a passport pass into terrestrial territories is still subject to compromises, compared with the drive to obtain the portal pass into celestial territories. When the scriptures say “Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God”, it implies that God’s portal pass is subject to purity of heart. Fortunately, obtaining a pure heart does not start with asking for a gift from an unknown God; but rather by receiving the revealed Gift from a loving God. And those who receive this Gift (by believing in the only begotten Son of God - Jesus Christ) obtained grace to keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight.
