Real Reception

“Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it.” ‭‭Luke‬ ‭18:17 ‭NKJV‬‬ https://www.bible.com/114/luk.18.17 nkjv
While adults are sensitive receivers, little children are sincere receivers. Although a perfect mixture of sensitivity and sincerity will make a great difference in life, the loss of sincerity in human relationship appears to be the cost of adulthood, except by the grace of God. Jesus have had a serious challenge with getting the attention of His adult listeners on the subject of the kingdom of God before the appearance of little children. When the disciples feared the possible distractions posed by the apparent insensitive and physical disorderliness of children, Jesus objected and pointed their attention to the virtue of sincerity in children, especially their reception in the matters of the kingdom of God: “Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it”. When Jesus mentioned elsewhere that those who will worship God must do that in truth and in Spirit, He simply alluded to the need for sincerity in all of human relationships with God. While the body can perfectly frame religious compliance and pass human intelligence, real reception or intimate relationship is the game of the heart and widely open to God.
