Soul Satisfaction

Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.”  Luke 17:3-4 KJV

Soul struggles with offences are mostly powered by the mindset that forgiveness is a service to the offending others. Whereas, Christ’s admonition for His disciples to “Take heed to yourselves“ begs to differ. Soul satisfaction comes by knowing, standing, and making the right choices on what it chooses to ‘forget’ and what it chooses to ‘remember’. Holding on to offences is clearly a slavish tendency to achieve satisfaction from human actions and inaction; and the offending parties are strangely permitted to hold unto the keys to soul satisfaction as long as the offences remain unsettled. Whereas, you can easily “Take heed to yourselves“ by forgiving and forgetting these offences to secure the right mind to ‘remember’ the promises of God. Therefore, “Take heed to yourselves“ is the Lord’s offer of rest and satisfaction to all who respond to His call; no one can “Take hold unto others’ offences” and “Take heed to himself” at the same time.
