Wise Win
“The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; And he that winneth souls is wise.” Proverbs 11:30 KJV
The scriptural concept of a wise win implies the reality of engagement in foolish or unrighteous wins in our competitive world. It is actually possible to gain dignity, recognition, and fortune from a system managing any project of life and lose the souls of the parties involved. Doing the right thing is far easier than doing it the right and acceptable way to both God and man. Obviously, if the way of the world is all about political correctness, administrative alertness, and social stability, it is understandable why the fruit of the unrighteous minds in our homes, institutions and societies can mostly be hatred, revenge, and wickedness. Even in religious circles, the gifts of the spirit can sometimes be engaged in a conflict of interests with the fruit of the spirit, leading up to the several evidences of hypocrisy and sanctimonious characteristics that can only win self-centredness and not souls. Whereas, wise believers are simply called to a day-to-day manifestation of the fruit of the spirit, including “…love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance (Galatians 5:22)” combined with the gift of the spirit in other to win souls for the kingdom of God.
