Right Reward
“Be diligent to know the state of your flocks, And attend to your herds; For riches are not forever, Nor does a crown endure to all generations.” Proverbs 27:23-24 NKJV
The scriptural principle of remuneration or reward places emphasis on the state of the flocks, instead of focussing on the status of the fields. While material gains and riches are generated by assessing the status of the fields, emphasis on the state of the flocks starts with (1) recognition of the attendance and good virtue in associates and subordinates; (2) reward for their attention to system operations and productivity; and (3) remuneration by their attraction to the Lord and understanding of His counsels. Unfortunately, the right reward in life comes through building the foundation of this principle of remuneration on the third pillar via a relationship with the true Rewarder - God. It implies that diligence to know the state of every believer’s flock (i.e., family members at home, associates at workplaces, and fellow citizens in the society) requires an intimate relationship with God; and this is the foundation of obtaining a right reward from the true Rewarder.
