Pleasing Praise
“Praise the Lord! Praise, O servants of the Lord, Praise the name of the Lord! Who is like the Lord our God, Who dwells on high, Who humbles Himself to behold The things that are in the heavens and in the earth? He grants the barren woman a home, Like a joyful mother of children. Praise the Lord!” Psalms 113:1, 5-6, 9 NKJV
The praise of the Lord God by His children, amidst all arrogant posturing in life’s affairs, is a rewarding and sacred service. Little wonder the first commandment to the redeemed children of Israel is the reverence of God and a dissociation from all other gods. Notwithstanding, a pleasing praise has always been a challenging and discouraging service offering in believers’ journey of faith. How do we seem to consistently live to worship God in the midst of (1) persistent newsflash of the wicked activities in the world, (2) redundant radiance of the import of righteousness amidst believers in God, and (3) dullness of empirical manifestations of the wonders of God in life’s affairs, institutions, and societies? But as faith enables the beholding of the reverence in the exhortation to “Praise the name of the Lord! Who is like the Lord our God, Who dwells on high, Who humbles Himself to behold The things that are in the heavens and in the earth”, our Heavenly Father will always be greatly pleased. Actually, the redeemed of the Lord who simply lives to worship and praise the Lord in all circumstances of life reserves the relevance of the Lord in their world. Praise the Lord!
