Holy Hill
”“Yet I have set My King On My holy hill of Zion.” Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, And you perish in the way, When His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.“ Psalms 2:6, 12 NKJV
With depravity, simple questions like “Where are you?”, “Why are you angry?”, and “Where is Abel your brother?” have turned complex. The nakedness of man got exposed, leaving the fallen man with a mere boost of his own intelligence, ingenuity, and interpretation. Even after visiting Calvary for remission of sin, the hypocritical hill is still capable of robbing man the access to the holy hill of Zion. Whereas, in Emmanuel, we have a wholesomeness of grace for the believers’ victorious living, including the saving grace, strengthening grace, and the sustaining grace. And by a daily visit to the holy hill, simple questions like “Where are you?”, “Why are you angry?”, and “Where is Abel your brother?” remain sincerely simple. The holy hill remains the Mount Zion of God for all who dare to visit with simplicity and humility, as promised elsewhere in the scripture “But on Mount Zion there shall be deliverance, And there shall be holiness; The house of Jacob shall possess their possessions” (Obadiah 1:17). After all, we are all expected to visit the holy hill to meet with Jesus and not ourselves; He is always willing to meet the needs of all who put their trust in Him.
