Steady State

Surely he will never be shaken; The righteous will be in everlasting remembrance. He will not be afraid of evil tidings; His heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭112‬:‭6‬-‭7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The law of physics or thermodynamics teaches the difference between the state of equilibrium (steady) and the transient state. Prior to equilibrium, the state of the matter is affected by the environmental forces, like the weather, economy, and social affairs. But at equilibrium, and like the heart of the righteous, there is no shaking. “Surely he will never be shaken“. Why? “His heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord”; and not his personal ability or accomplishments. It implies that absolute trust in the Lord and steadfastness in the heart produce the strongest immunity against the elements of this wicked world. Unfortunately, many people who claim to know the Lord are more sensitive to the forces of evil and darkness. Whereas, the thickest of darkness in the world always bring forth the brightest of the light in the Lord’s glory. “Unto the upright there arises light in the darkness; He is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous” (Psalms‬ ‭112‬:‭4). Therefore, the promise “Surely he will never be shaken” to the steady state of the righteous doesn’t imply ‘no shaking’ for the body; it is focused on the heart that trusts in the Lord, even in the strongest shaking of the body.
