Burden Bearer

“Have I sinned? What have I done to You, O watcher of men? Why have You set me as Your target, So that I am a burden to myself?” ‭‭Job‬ ‭7:20‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Through the right consultation with a human therapist, natural burdens can receive adequate and professional attention. But like in the case of Job, manageable consultations from human therapists are easily turned to miserable consolation. Even while Job could not receive the expected ‘quick and go’ touch from his consultation with God, his prayer shows the realization of God as the ultimate burden bearer. The problems of broken dreams and battered hearts can be easily compounded by the practices of betrayed bearers; but burdens are genuinely lifted in the presence of God. Therefore, Job enquired “Have I sinned? What have I done to You, O watcher of men?”. Even though Job did not sin against God, all his self-help approaches are quickly observed as additional predicaments without divine intervention. God is always a reliable refuge for all shades of trouble and the burdens of life; He is a silent listener to anyone who seeks His face in times of difficulty.
