Hearing N Heeding
“Come near, you nations, to hear; And heed, you people! Let the earth hear, and all that is in it, The world and all things that come forth from it. For the indignation of the LORD is against all nations, And His fury against all their armies; He has utterly destroyed them, He has given them over to the slaughter...Search from the book of the LORD, and read: Not one of these shall fail; Not one shall lack her mate. For My mouth has commanded it, and His Spirit has gathered them.”
Isaiah 34:1-2, 16 NKJV

The seeming slack in the judgment of God over the wickedness and disobedience of men often encourage the act of hearing and erring. The lack of the fear of God among the professing children of God has often considered the declaration of future indignation and the wrath of God as empty threat. Yet, the old age satanic strategy of safe nearness, free seeing and friendly touching the forbidden fruits has been the strong agent of dullness and discouragement towards hearing and heeding the commandments of the Lord. Meanwhile, God commands ‘come near to Me’ truly means ‘stay clear of all appearances of evil’. Saints of God with the growing passion for friendship with the world’s politics, policies and practices cannot possibly sustain the whiteness of their garments. Unfortunately, the pseudo-white garments seem to attract the blessedness of relevance more than the garment of true righteousness and holiness. Notwithstanding, the scriptures declare that none of these (God’s final judgment for all unrighteousness of men) shall fail. Hearing and erring may continually appear encouraging, but hearing and heeding make more sense to true saints.
