Fear Freak
“Then I perceived that God had not sent him at all, but that he pronounced this prophecy against me because Tobiah and Sanballat had hired him. For this reason he was hired, that I should be afraid and act that way and sin, so that they might have cause for an evil report, that they might reproach me.”
Nehemiah 6:12-13 NKJV

Winning work does not comprise of activities void of the weakening tactics of the enemy. It is rather the demonstration of an overriding confidence in the God who initiate the work, than the fear of the weakening tactics. When all tactics of distraction failed to weaken Nehemiah and his men from starting or continuing the good work of re-building the broken walls of Jerusalem, they resorted to the weapon of fear. A reliable informer of Nehemiah was hired to spill the beans of fear. However, Nehemiah was confident with the incompatibility of fear in the scheme of God's dealing with the faithful followers of His promises. Likewise, the economy may not be favourable, the fruit of previous investment may consistently fail, and the climate of attack against good work or intention may be strongly aggressive. Nevertheless, good work is more concerned about the fate of stopping than the fear of being stopped. Therefore, a freak sins through his preference for an imaginary invention of fear to a fruitful investment of faith in God.
