Unrestrained Utterances
“And it happened on the next day that Pashhur brought Jeremiah out of the stocks.
Then Jeremiah said to him, “The LORD has not called your name Pashhur, but
Magor-Missabib. For thus says the LORD: ‘Behold, I will make you a terror to
yourself and to all your friends; and they shall fall by the sword of their enemies,
and your eyes shall see it. I will give all Judah into the hand of the king of
Babylon, and he shall carry them captive to Babylon and slay them with the sword.”

Incarceration is a proven tool for political victimization, especially when dealing with stubborn opposition. After the method of honourable enticement through the bread of influence appears unproductive, the dictatorship spirit in man is often left to unleash the option of adopting the method of dishonourable persecution through the bread of affliction. And when the conflict involves personal interest and carnal struggle, it is easy to understand the basis for emotional shutdown of the human system through wickedness, malice, bitterness and anger. Then, the word of man speaks freely the agony of the incarcerated or persecuted body, while the word of God is strictly shutout. After all, 'where is God, when the enemy freely raises the hand against the righteous?' is the feeling, representing the unrestrained utterances of man. But for prophet Jeremiah, the natural (word of man) yielded for the spiritual (word of God) in the well of affliction. Even in the well, the river of the refreshing fullness of God's presence flows ceaselessly. Oh, how we need the unrestrained utterances of the Spirit in all services at home, Church and society, in spite of all possible sense of incarceration. Therefore, the utterances of the word of God through His anointed ministers is unrestrained, except with the express permission of the man of God.
