Moral Mentoring
"You, therefore, who teach another, do you not teach yourself? You who preach that a man should not steal, do you steal?" (Romans 2:21 NKJV)
Selfishness is a natural trait of the heart of man, but it is scarcely deplored for moral mentoring. It is always easier to care for the moral needs of others, at the utmost neglect of the moral decadence of self. An untaught professor of moral science can be versed with letters, while his words is void of life-transforming message. Except a heart-cry for mercy in moral aptitude is conscious, the best mentoring effort can only boost of one hypocrite - the teacher. Therefore, effective moral mentoring starts with generous self modelling.
