Material Drift
The quest for fulfilment in life requires the determination to coordinate available resources towards achieving the common goal. While this quest is natural, the motivation behind the quest determines the nature of the drift - it is either God drift or Material drift. No matter how smartly disguised, Material drift will exhibit the problem of contentment. In its economy, the quest is insatiable. A quest to become successful in profession, ministry, family, etc is not a problem, the problem arises when the drift is material and not God. Material drift produces pride with every element of achievement, and anger with every element of failure or disappointment.
However, God drift (commonly known as godliness) sees neither failure nor accomplishment in all its endeavours. The desire is the search for God in all the paths that His Spirit leads. There is nothing to lose or gain; because there is inner satisfaction in the zero-perfect share model adopted in his relationship with God. Godliness with contentment - this is great gain!
