God’s Grace
“When he came and had seen the grace of God, he was glad, and encouraged them all that with purpose of heart they should continue with the Lord. For he was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and of faith. And a great many people were added to the Lord.” Acts 11:23-24 NKJV
Except to expose the basis of inconsistency in the testimonies of compromising Christians, the singularity of the grace of God and the God of grace is wholesome. For example, Barnabas saw the grace of God in believers in the Antioch assembly and quickly admonished them to continue with the God of grace; because without a consistent fellowship with the God of grace, the fraud in any believer’s claim to the grace of God will soon be an open scam. Unfortunately, today, there is too much religiosity hype without relational righteousness and holiness. We readily abuse the grace of God because we disuse the delightful relationship with the God of grace. Whereas, for Barnabas and every true Christian, the only insurance for the grace of God is a consistent fellowship with the God of grace through constant prayer and the continuous meditation in the words of God. Show me a graceless believer, and we can tell of someone full of strategies to manoeuvre the grace of God without a consistent reference to the God of grace.
