Delightful Deliverance
“ That Your beloved may be delivered, Save with Your right hand, and hear me. Through God we will do valiantly, For it is He who shall tread down our enemies .” Psalms 108:6, 13 NKJV When the psalmist prayed to God to “ Save with Your right hand, and hear me ”, it doesn’t suggest the existence of God’s possible choice of salvation with His wrong or left hand. It does speaks of the psalmist’s determination to absolutely depend on God’s salvation; and his refusal to adopt the alternative suggestions of human assistance. In fact, he later submitted the basis of his conviction in his prayer point with “ Give us help from trouble, For the help of man is useless ” (Psalms 108:12). Truly, true help, even while it mostly comes through man, is always from God. Otherwise, it becomes a deceitful dragnet into the den of lions.
