Delightful Deliverance

“ That Your beloved may be delivered, Save with Your right hand, and hear me. Through God we will do valiantly, For it is He who shall tread down our enemies .” Psalms‬ ‭108‬:‭6‬, ‭13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ When the psalmist prayed to God to “ Save with Your right hand, and hear me ”, it doesn’t suggest the existence of God’s possible choice of salvation with His wrong or left hand. It does speaks of the psalmist’s determination to absolutely depend on God’s salvation; and his refusal to adopt the alternative suggestions of human assistance. And for the sudden desire for deliverance, the sources of the human needs for mercy and truth grow with the level of his anxiety. Unfortunately, mercies from these deceitful deliverers have always succeeded in derailing the righteous from the path of true deliverance. Whereas in reality, their offers of mercy are filled with messes; and their rewards of fame and riches are stuffed with restlessness. Little wonder that the psalmist, while comparing the attributes of the d...
