Forsaken Fountain
““For My people have committed two evils: They have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters, And hewn themselves cisterns—broken cisterns that can hold no water.” Jeremiah 2:13 NKJV http://bible.com/114/jer.2.13.nkjv As long as artificial fountains can serve the purposes of architectural beatification and decorations, they are sometimes mistaken as flowing fountains or deliberately minded not as fake fountains. But beyond the fantasy of picture posing and social entertainment, fake fountains do not have capacity to satisfy the soul of man with the needed freshness. Israel is reported to commit these two evils: flowing fountain forsaken and fake fountain flocking. It is important to note that the patronage of fake fountains wouldn’t have constituted any evil if the pursuit of the freshness in the flowing fountain is not a problem.
