Baton of Blessing

For nations and people whose heritage is enshrined in idolatry, the radiance of the light of salvation picks one person at a time. The spell of curses require the cleaning power of God to reverse; and overturn the automatic propagation of wickedness. But some nations and people are blessed with godly heritage. Like the children of Israel, the covenant relationship between Abraham and God get passed down the generation lane. However, individual generation is responsible for passing down the baton of blessing. Isaac and Jacob were successful with these responsibilities because of their individual faith in God. The chain of covenant is broken when the baton of blessing is retained. The responsibility of extending the godly heritage down the generation lane cannot be shifted away from parents. While the church, good neighbours and extended relations can assist, they cannot be held responsible for failure.
