Pleasant Plant

“For the vineyard of the LORD of hosts is the house of Israel, And the men of Judah are His pleasant plant. He looked for justice, but behold, oppression; For righteousness, but behold, a cry for help.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭5:7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ http://bible.com/114/isa.5.7.nkjv There is an attractive idealism “Alagemo” in a Yoruba adage ‘Alagemo ti bi’mo retan...’ that supports the creativity in shared responsibilities. Likewise, God compares the men of Judah to His pleasant plant with the perfect expectation of a shared responsibility in the Creator-creature relationship. Unlike those who are still in the large mix of sin slavery and aliens to the commonwealth of Israel, the men of Judah have a special covenant relationship with God, built on conditional provisions and promises. Unfortunately, the pleasant plant of God often responds appreciably to the sophisticated pollution and negative influences than the provisions of grace and mercy.
