Peculiar People
“And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.” I John 2:2 NKJV Very important people (VIP) of this world know how to brag about their access to fame, wealth, and position of authority; but unfortunately the people with express access to the throne of grace are often ignorant about their peculiarity. God’s peculiar people are saved by the blood of Jesus Christ the Most High Priest and the Judge of the whole world. If we were saved by the lesser, perhaps there could be room for concern about perfect satisfaction of the Judge. But the Judge Himself became the propitiation for our sins to make us a peculiar people, over this world’s VIP. Therefore, we, the redeemed of the Lord, should not be catching cold when this world’s VIP sneeze; if we are not ignorant of our peculiarity.
