What may I do for you, before I am taken away from you?” Elisha said, “Please let a double portion of your spirit be upon me.”” II Kings 1:15; 2:9 NKJV When Elisha asked Elijah for a double portion of his spirit, Elijah knew Elisha was shooting beyond the “ Ask! What may I do for you “ question. Elisha needed something beyond the recurrent and limited ‘fear fire’ on Elijah. It was the ‘fear fire ’ that led Elijah on a 24-hour run away from Jezebel into the wilderness.
