Night Naught

  “ Behold, bless the Lord, All you servants of the Lord, Who by night stand in the house of the Lord! ” Psalms 134 : 1 NKJV When Daniel and his three Hebrews found themselves as slaves in the palace of Nebuchadnezzar, their predicaments could have been regarded as a night stand for naught. They were free from all forms of supervisory check on morality and theology by the priests, prophets, and parents. Yet, the scriptures has it that “ But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s delicacies, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the chief of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself ( Daniel 1 : 8 )”. Little wonder he was able to secure the Lord’s night vision when he needed it most “ Then the secret was revealed to Daniel in a night vision. So Daniel blessed the God of heaven ( Daniel 2 : 19 )”.
