Winsome Way

  “ But earnestly desire the best gifts. And yet I show you a more excellent way…And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” I Corinthians 12 : 31 ; 13:13 NKJV It is not surprising that the most desirable way out of wicked experiences in life is primarily faith, and thereafter hope. Faith prides in its ability to remove the mountains of opposition, oppression, and obstacles to human existence, extension, and enterprise; while hope provides the confidence in the expected relief, no matter how long it takes. Whereas, God often desires an alternative way of setbacks to believers’ expectations because of His nature of love. Intentionally, love suffers long and is kind; does not envy; does not parade nor puff up itself; does not behave rudely; does not seek its own nor get provoked into evil; does not rejoice in iniquities but rejoices in the truth; bears all things; believes all things; hopes all things; and endures all things…because it is the w...

Vain Vines

  “ Catch us the foxes, The little foxes that spoil the vines, For our vines have tender grapes .” Song of Solomon 2 : 15 There is no doubt that as made in the image of God, we are designed as fruitful branches of the true vine for sweetness, succulence, and sustainable grapes. However, while it is not hard to know that we all need the abiding grafting into the true vine to remain fruitful, it has always been difficult to personally rid off the little foxes that spoil the vines or produce vain vines in life. Just as intimate relationship with God through consistent meditation in His words and prayer provides victorious vines, unequal yokes with worldly standards and compromises promote the production of vain vines. Unfortunately, the little foxes are mostly inconsequential in appearances and appeals of styles, statements, and expressions around the family discussions, social networking, and workplace interactions.
