Purged Person

  “And Elisha said to him, “Go, say to him, ‘You shall certainly recover.’ However the Lord has shown me that he will really die.” Then he set his countenance in a stare until he was ashamed; and the man of God wept.” ‭‭II Kings‬ ‭8‬:‭10‬-‭11‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ The experience of Elisha and Hazael shows that the making of a man of God is not necessarily the power of God, but the purity of God. Little wonder the scriptures say “ Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work ” (II Timothy‬ ‭2‬:‭21‬). While power is measured by the command of man through the influence of affluence, wealth, and the privileges of this life, purity is measured by the command of God through the influence of the Holy Spirit.
