Hideous Hindrances
“And he said to them, “Do not hinder me, since the Lord has prospered my way; send me away so that I may go to my master.”” Genesis 24:56 NKJV The possible extension of Rebekah’s stay with her parents and brethren after a successful outing of the mission of Abraham’s servant shows that knowing, pursuing, and obtaining the manifestation of the will of God on any of life’s projects is not enough. Hindrances to the perfect Will of God can come from parties (including self) at the centre of operations, who are always conscious and sensitive to their own personal Will and agendas. When the scriptures admonish believers to trust in the Lord with all their hearts, it is evident that there are hideous hindrances in every personal leverage on the human understanding of the matters of life.
