Rest Routes

 “So none of the accursed things shall remain in your hand, that the Lord may turn from the fierceness of His anger and show you mercy, have compassion on you and multiply you, just as He swore to your fathers, because you have listened to the voice of the Lord your God, to keep all His commandments which I command you today, to do what is right in the eyes of the Lord your God.” Deuteronomy 13:17-18 NKJV

The strategic master plan of our archenemy in the world remains the deception of the simple through the offer of rest routes to life’s achievements and advancement. Unfortunately, rest routes are simply the routes of the rest; they are not the same as the rest route from the Lord. God’s offering to those who come to Him is rest for their souls; and not the routes of the rest against the promised rest for their souls. When Achan on his route to the promised rest from the Lord was accosted by the accursed things, he immediately sacrificed the rest route for the rest routes of the Babylonian garments for riches and fame. Unfortunately, he and his associates or family members who encouraged the distraction and deception got destroyed for listening to the voices of the rest. Even today, the voices that lead pilgrims on the rest routes are getting louder and sophisticated, especially with advances in institutional diplomacy, political sagacity, and relational manoeuvring. The accursed things can promise worldly positions, prosperity, and popularity; but these rest routes have a singular endpoint of destruction and eternal retribution. Therefore, no matter the glistening glamour of the rest routes in our world, only the gracious glory of the rest route from the Lord can assure soul the true peace and rest.

Peaceful Pathway

The Lord be with you all. ” II Thessalonians 3 : 16 NKJV Truth be told, the pursuit of righteousness is simply and straightforwardly the following of the right pathway, not necessarily the safe, the polite, and the popular pathway. Wrangled Way

  “ Blessed are the undefiled in the way, Who walk in the law of the Lord! Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, Who seek Him with the whole heart! They also do no iniquity; They walk in His ways. ” Psalms 119 : 1 - 3 NKJV There is no doubt that those who abuse the grace of God have little or no understanding of the concept of the narrow way. For  “ Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it ” ( Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭13‬-‭14‬).  The narrow way cannot be widened because it is not only strait , it is extremely wrangled.
