Risen Reign

For they intended evil against You; They devised a plot which they are not able to perform. Therefore You will make them turn their back; You will make ready Your arrows on Your string toward their faces. Be exalted, O Lord, in Your own strength! We will sing and praise Your power.Psalms 21:11-13

While the love of God is demonstrated by the cross of Jesus Christ, His power is manifested by the resurrection of the Lord. Notwithstanding, even 2,000 years after the resurrection of Christ, the conspiracies against ‘He is risen!’ have never subsided, as vividly demonstrated by the lifestyle of believers in the power of God’s grace. Although what the scriptures says concerning this grace is “teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age (Titus 2:12)”, believers often make mockery of the power of God’s grace by dancing in unrighteousness with arrogance and pride. Meanwhile, even in the Old Testament, the psalmist reflected on the sufficiency of the strength of the Lord to destabilize the devices of the wicked. For example, “Therefore You will make them turn their back; You will make ready Your arrows on Your string toward their faces” was demonstrated by God’s dealing with Pharaoh and his chariots and horses in the Red Sea. And if we can live daily by “Be exalted, O Lord, in Your own strength! We will sing and praise Your power” in our crafts, communication, and companionship, ‘He is risen’ will be truly evident in us.
