Great Gathering

Lord, who may abide in Your tabernacle? Who may dwell in Your holy hill? He who walks uprightly, And works righteousness, And speaks the truth in his heart” Psalms 15:1-2 NKJV

One of the greatest challenges against the truth is the misconceptions about the true gathering. Speakers of the truth are often called to adopt the forfeiture of the gathering of wealth, affluence, and the pleasures of this world; as the requirement for them to dwell in God’s holy hill and abide in His tabernacle. Notwithstanding, the misconception of the truth by those who prefer the physical gathering to abiding in God’s holy hill is the temporariness of these fake gatherings. For example, even after death, Jacob’s legacy on the power of transparent truth attracted ‘great gathering’ of Canaanites and the Egyptians; needless to underscore the triumph of his eternal joy and peace with God. Even when John the Baptist felt disappointed by his incarceration for speaking the truth, Jesus had this to say about his great gathering Assuredly, I say to you, among those born of women there has not risen one greater than John the Baptist...” (Matthew‬ ‭11‬:‭11‬). Whereas, most people often disdain their physical or fake gatherings even before they close their eyes in death. Therefore, to speak the truth in the heart is deeper than political correctness, moral decency, and social acceptance; it is an intentional fellowship or the gathering of the heart with God in every believer’s relationship.
