Finding Faith

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6 NKJV

By a careful review of the lifestyle of all the heroes of faith, it is easy to define pleasing God as the common essence of living. Life ceases at the moment the desire to please God fades. For example, life for Abel is the offering of a pleasing sacrifice; the offering of a pleasing walk for Enoch; and the offering of a pleasing profession for Noah as Ark designer and developer. Unfortunately, most well-intentioned men of wits in almost all of life’s careers, styles, and passions are driven by the pursuits of pleasure at the expense of the pleasing of God. And when the scriptures say “But without faith it is impossible to please Him”, this faith does simply implies faith in God; as against faith in our pursuit of pleasures, personal careers, styles, and passions in life to please ourselves and our selfish interests. And because we are gods, we all still need this latter [dead faith] in ourselves to drive innovation and creativity in our world. Little wonders why most innovations in this decadent world are vehemently designed to either openly or remotely promote the irrelevance of God. “But without [the living] faith it is impossible to please Him [God]”; and far more than without [the dead] faith it is impossible to please ourselves. Therefore, finding the living faith starts with knowing God and living daily to please Him through a diligent pursuit of His revealed counsels.
