Ransomed Redemption

For the Lord has redeemed Jacob, And ransomed him from the hand of one stronger than he. Therefore they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, Streaming to the goodness of the Lord— For wheat and new wine and oil, For the young of the flock and the herd; Their souls shall be like a well-watered garden, And they shall sorrow no more at all.” Jeremiah 31:11-12 NKJV

The redemption story is not a mere story to be told; but it is actually an experience to be relished. Those who have no personal experience of the ransomed stepping in of our Saviour against the influences and servitude of forces stronger than their own ingenuity and proficiency will always struggle with backsliding. Actually, the power of temptation, setup for all unrighteous influences, social and political peer-pressure, and carnal compromises have never been ordinary. They constitute stronger spiritual forces that have always kept Israel and Judah in a backsliding ring. Whereas, genuine New Testament experience of a ransomed redemption requires faith in the stepping in of the Saviour into the backsliding ring to deliver the captive souls from the shackle of sin, sickness, sadness, and Satan. It is the consistent experience of a ransomed redemption in every believer’s day-to-day life’s engagements that makes the lifestyle of streaming to the goodness of the Lord.
