Comprehensive Comfort
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” II Corinthians 1:3-4 NKJV
Usually, human intervention to conflict will either breeds comfort or conspiracies. This is often because the best of comfort received from man has an element of self service. Even in the honest disposition of comfort as community service, there is always an expectation in the receipts of self recognition, appreciation, and recommendation. And because comprehensive comfort comes only from God, God would often rather train up His children through an atmosphere soaked with wilderness experiences for the first fruits of His comprehensive comfort. A trained-up beneficiary of the comprehensive comfort from God has been a successful distributor of gracious comfort at home and in the society. When the Apostle Paul declared to the Corinthian church that “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation“, he was speaking from the place of personal experience with gracious humility. Whereas, pseudo comforts from other sources have led to the destruction of kingdoms, empires, and privileges. Therefore, the comprehensive comfort from God comes with a great sense of understanding the emotional state of the body and soul; and the supernatural state of the spirit towards a total rendering of the glory of God.
