Delightful Deliverance

 “then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment,” ‭‭II Peter‬ ‭2‬:‭9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Whenever man runs out of all his self-help options, he is usually presented as a vulnerable tool of manipulation in the hands of the enemies of God. From time immemorial, man idolizes and worships any open source of deliverance. Likewise, man would readily bow down and worship the golden image of anyone who would threaten his prevailing breeze of deliverance. Invariably, Shedrach, Messach, and Abednego were uncommon men in the land of Babylon in the days of king Nebuchadnezzar, with uncommon faith in God’s delightful deliverance. And like Joshua and Caleb of old, these men knew the difference between the deceptive deliverance of this world and the delightful deliverance from the Lord. It is always true that, while we can run out on the strategy to escape the trap set by the enemies against our progress and prosperity in life, the Lord can never ever run out on “how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment”.

Peaceful Pathway

  “ Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with you all. ” II Thessalonians 3 : 16 NKJV Truth be told, the pursuit of righteousness is simply and straightforwardly the following of the right pathway, not necessarily the safe, the polite, and the popular pathway. Little wonder Martin Luther King once said, ‘On some positions, Cowardice asks the question, “ Is it safe?” Expediency asks the question, “ Is it polite?” And Vanity comes along and asks the question, “ Is it popular? ” But Conscience asks the question, “ Is it right? ”’. Wrangled Way

  “ Blessed are the undefiled in the way, Who walk in the law of the Lord! Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, Who seek Him with the whole heart! They also do no iniquity; They walk in His ways. ” Psalms 119 : 1 - 3 NKJV There is no doubt that those who abuse the grace of God have little or no understanding of the concept of the narrow way. For  “ Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it ” ( Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭13‬-‭14‬).  The narrow way cannot be widened because it is not only strait , it is extremely wrangled.
