Twisted Trust

So that your trust may be in the Lord; I have instructed you today, even you. Have I not written to you excellent things Of counsels and knowledge,” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭22‬:‭19‬-‭20‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Finding helpful hands and resources through men and human setup is a good thing. This is always a great networking opportunity that makes the difference between failure and success in life. The only problem though is that many people often get carried away by replacing trust in God with idols. Yes, it has become a twisted trust when the hearts of men no longer pay attention to the inspiration of the Spirit of God, especially when the windows of human networking or positioning with privileges are getting threatened. The scriptures say “So that your trust may be in the Lord; I have instructed you today, even you“. Do you know exactly the undeniable thing the world around you is asking you to give, but you are blinded as regards the specific instruction from God? Unfortunately, the believers’ world today knows how to enforce compliance to its demands from men, particularly through the unrestricted promotion of licentious lifestyles, frivolity, unethical practices, and abuse of godly human rights. But a true trust in God will rather take the excellent counsel of the Lord, instead of leaning on his own understanding of the worldly pathway to fame and fun. Therefore, a consistent appetite for the revelation of the excellent words of God remains the secret of securing the heart from a twisted trust in unrighteousness.
