Permanent Praise
“As with a breaking of my bones, My enemies reproach me, While they say to me all day long, “Where is your God?” Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; For I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God.” Psalms 42:10-11 NKJV
Whenever the coming of the King of kings becomes the delight of the righteous, nothing will be able to keep them down in the valley of despondency and discouragement. Unfortunately, a distraction into the pursuit of self-glory, self-honour, and self-recognition always find reason in all who delight in them to fall into a state of despair. And as long as it is difficult and almost impossible for anyone to compete dominantly with the ever-changing standards of performance in our world, no one can find a self-made solution for the breaking of his bones. Inspired by the call to focus on the praise of the Lord alone, the righteous souls can praise God permanently. As soon as all rooms for the praise of human intelligence, personal skills, and carnal proficiency are vacated for the inspiration of the Lord, there will be no need for personal response to the enemies’ “Where is your God?” oppression. Therefore, personal praise is reserved for the expression of a consistent gratitude to the King, whose reign remains unending in the ever-changing seasons of life.
