Forward Focus

 “Let your eyes look straight ahead, And your eyelids look right before you. Ponder the path of your feet, And let all your ways be established.” Proverbs‬ ‭4‬:‭25‬-‭26‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Looking straight ahead in life’s project is easy when the metrics of progress are making sense; but real life stories do not always have the privilege of such smooth metrics. Focus on the positive sides of progress is often distracted by threats, negative attacks, victimization, and the challenges of life. Therefore, the scriptural admonition to “Let your eyes look straight ahead” is only possible by faith and holding on the promises of God. Even when the children of Israel had been released to escape Egypt after God’s several manifestations of wonders before Pharaoh, they couldn’t look straight by the Red Sea on their own, particularly when they were being pursued by the Egyptians. But after the Lord said to Moses, “Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward”(Exodus‬ ‭14‬:‭15‬), they were able to regain their focus. Likewise, if we can daily commit to God alone the conflicting metrics against His revealed will in all of life’s projects, He will surely give us grace to keep a forward focus on the path of progress.

Peaceful Pathway

The Lord be with you all. ” II Thessalonians 3 : 16 NKJV Truth be told, the pursuit of righteousness is simply and straightforwardly the following of the right pathway, not necessarily the safe, the polite, and the popular pathway. Little wonder Martin Luther King once said, ‘On some positions, Cowardice asks the question, “ Is it safe?” Expediency asks the question, “ Is it polite?” And Vanity comes along and asks the question, “ Is it popular? ” But Conscience asks the question, “ Is it right? ”’. Wrangled Way

  “ Blessed are the undefiled in the way, Who walk in the law of the Lord! Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, Who seek Him with the whole heart! They also do no iniquity; They walk in His ways. ” Psalms 119 : 1 - 3 NKJV There is no doubt that those who abuse the grace of God have little or no understanding of the concept of the narrow way. For  “ Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it ” ( Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭13‬-‭14‬).  The narrow way cannot be widened because it is not only strait , it is extremely wrangled.
