Final Fire
“Then Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, each took his censer and put fire in it, put incense on it, and offered profane fire before the Lord, which He had not commanded them. So fire went out from the Lord and devoured them, and they died before the Lord. And Moses said to Aaron, “This is what the Lord spoke, saying: ‘By those who come near Me I must be regarded as holy; And before all the people I must be glorified.’ ”So Aaron held his peace.” Leviticus 10:1-3 NKJV
One of the beauties of complete consecration and sacred sacrifice upon the altar is the eventual release of the final fire from the Lord. It was a solemn experience in the camp of the Israelites, “and fire came out from before the Lord and consumed the burnt offering and the fat on the altar. When all the people saw it, they shouted and fell on their faces” (Leviticus 9:24 NKJV). Whereas, before the release of the final fire upon the altar of believer’s sacrifices, diverse energies and intentions are mostly condoned or tolerated from volunteers and altar servants, like those offered by Nadab and Abihu. The selfish intention of servers in most of these talent shows is mostly of little or no concern to God, particularly when the full presence of the Lord is not sincerely cultivated. But at the last final call and complete consecration in the presence of the Lord, the final fire invokes the beauty of His holiness; and it is released to consume all strange fire against the manifestation of His presence. Unfortunately, God’s final fire would readily consume believer's precious jewels, if they carry profane fire into His revealed presence.
