Potential Possessions

 “Then Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, “One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow Me.”” ‭‭Mark‬ ‭10:21‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

High school knowledge of physics teaches the conversion of potential energy into different forms of useful energy; and the possible wastage arising from failure to coordinate focus on a simple conversion process. When the young man met with Jesus in relation of his concern for peace, joy, satisfaction, and the conversion of his riches and earthly achievements to eternal rest in heaven, Jesus revealed the basic principle of the simple conversion process to him and all His disciples: “One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow Me”. Invariably, everything we have in life (properties, privileges, and opportunities) are potential possessions for useful conversion and processing into heavenly treasures. But we must follow the Master for day to day instructions on the conversion process, in order to avoid being turned into the converts of our possessions. Whenever we lose the desirable control of our potential possessions in life, we become the convert specimens under the influence of these earthly properties, privileges, and opportunities with little or no interest in simple consecration.

Peaceful Pathway

The Lord be with you all. ” II Thessalonians 3 : 16 NKJV Truth be told, the pursuit of righteousness is simply and straightforwardly the following of the right pathway, not necessarily the safe, the polite, and the popular pathway. Little wonder Martin Luther King once said, ‘On some positions, Cowardice asks the question, “ Is it safe?” Expediency asks the question, “ Is it polite?” And Vanity comes along and asks the question, “ Is it popular? ” But Conscience asks the question, “ Is it right? ”’. Wrangled Way

  “ Blessed are the undefiled in the way, Who walk in the law of the Lord! Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, Who seek Him with the whole heart! They also do no iniquity; They walk in His ways. ” Psalms 119 : 1 - 3 NKJV There is no doubt that those who abuse the grace of God have little or no understanding of the concept of the narrow way. For  “ Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it ” ( Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭13‬-‭14‬).  The narrow way cannot be widened because it is not only strait , it is extremely wrangled.
