Real Righteousness

 “Therefore take heed that the light which is in you is not darkness. If then your whole body is full of light, having no part dark, the whole body will be full of light, as when the bright shining of a lamp gives you light.””

If there is no doubt that righteousness is light and any form of unrighteous thought is darkness, the only way the light in anyone can be darkness is the allowance of unrighteous thought in the pursuit of righteousness. Practical righteousness is more than doing right in all relationships with God and man; it also includes thinking right. As clearly exemplified in another passage of the scriptures “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things (Philippians‬ ‭4:8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)”. Unfortunately, the enemy is often enabled to freely paint the actions and inaction of other people in ugly coloration on our innocent minds. And while we claim to pursue righteousness, we are ignorantly manipulated to think evil. May the light of Christ shine fully and truly through all our engagements, as we strictly enable righteous meditation in the New Year. Amen.

Peaceful Pathway

  “ Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with you all. ” II Thessalonians 3 : 16 NKJV Truth be told, the pursuit of righteousness is simply and straightforwardly the following of the right pathway, not necessarily the safe, the polite, and the popular pathway. Little wonder Martin Luther King once said, ‘On some positions, Cowardice asks the question, “ Is it safe?” Expediency asks the question, “ Is it polite?” And Vanity comes along and asks the question, “ Is it popular? ” But Conscience asks the question, “ Is it right? ”’. Wrangled Way

  “ Blessed are the undefiled in the way, Who walk in the law of the Lord! Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, Who seek Him with the whole heart! They also do no iniquity; They walk in His ways. ” Psalms 119 : 1 - 3 NKJV There is no doubt that those who abuse the grace of God have little or no understanding of the concept of the narrow way. For  “ Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it ” ( Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭13‬-‭14‬).  The narrow way cannot be widened because it is not only strait , it is extremely wrangled.
