Examinable Enjoyment

“Rejoice, O young man, in your youth, And let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth; Walk in the ways of your heart, And in the sight of your eyes; But know that for all these God will bring you into judgment. Therefore remove sorrow from your heart, And put away evil from your flesh, For childhood and youth are vanity.”

‭‭Ecclesiastes‬ ‭11:9-10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The major challenge of the licence as a free moral agent is the balance of the freedom to enjoy and the fear of examination. Freedom to enjoy without fear of examination creates recklessness. Although recklessness appears enjoyable to irresponsible child, parent, leader, and student at the start, it surely brings shame and disgrace at the end to those who indulge in it. When God says enjoy your licence as a free moral agent responsibly, He expects the conscious understanding that there is no true enjoyment without righteousness. Likewise, fear of examination without freedom to enjoy is detestable and a mere can of worms called legalism. Homes, institutions and nations built on ,this extreme fear of examination need to understand the danger of sitting on timed bomb. Since legalistic system builds nothing more than fake conformists, the beauty of freedom for responsible expressions in life cannot be overemphasized. Therefore, wise pilgrims and sincere tourists on the trails of life need just the company of the fear of God in order to embark on examinable enjoyment.
