Crown Counsel

“I will bless the LORD who has given me counsel; My heart also instructs me in the night seasons. I have set the LORD always before me; Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved.”

The confusion in finding the right way in life is sometimes not borne out of the proliferation of bad counsels. Too many good counsels that are laced with divided interests will readily lead many to confusion, against the pursuit of godly purpose in life. Particularly, when godly purposes attract negative consequences, unpleasant challenges, or night seasons, it takes the grace of God to allow our hearts lead the way, instead of our heads. For those who are tempted to trade godly purposes for seemingly good purposes at the crossroads of life, the Psalmist shares this secret “I have set the LORD always before me; Because He is at my right hand”. Whenever the pursuit of God’s glory is played higher than personal considerations of the prospect of promotion, prosperity and pleasure, the crown counsel from God will always stand clear in the midst of misleading counsels.

Peaceful Pathway

The Lord be with you all. ” II Thessalonians 3 : 16 NKJV Truth be told, the pursuit of righteousness is simply and straightforwardly the following of the right pathway, not necessarily the safe, the polite, and the popular pathway. Wrangled Way

  “ Blessed are the undefiled in the way, Who walk in the law of the Lord! Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, Who seek Him with the whole heart! They also do no iniquity; They walk in His ways. ” Psalms 119 : 1 - 3 NKJV There is no doubt that those who abuse the grace of God have little or no understanding of the concept of the narrow way. For  “ Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it ” ( Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭13‬-‭14‬).  The narrow way cannot be widened because it is not only strait , it is extremely wrangled.
