Winning Word

“And they listened to him until this word, and then they raised their voices and said, “Away with such a fellow from the earth, for he is not fit to live!””

The complexity in the pursuits of the will of God is mostly influenced by the conflicting interests in the doing, rather than the consuming passion for the knowing. Particularly, the volume of books that support the action of man in life is predominantly managed by the wisdom of this world, powered by public opinions, culture, social preferences,  etc. While safe counsels abound  in the wisdom from the multitude of counsellors, pursuing the revelation of the will of God in His word sometimes requires traveling with courage on a lonely path. For example, Paul was able to retain the attention of his audience, until the expression of his commitment to the revealed will of God. Even when there are thousand of wise ways from the multitude of counsellors, the winning word remains the solemn declaration from the Lord and the Creator of counsellors. Unfortunately, the wise ways in our wicked world are widely acceptable to many admirers of the will of God, but antagonists of the winning word of God.

Peaceful Pathway

  “ Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with you all. ” II Thessalonians 3 : 16 NKJV Truth be told, the pursuit of righteousness is simply and straightforwardly the following of the right pathway, not necessarily the safe, the polite, and the popular pathway. Little wonder Martin Luther King once said, ‘On some positions, Cowardice asks the question, “ Is it safe?” Expediency asks the question, “ Is it polite?” And Vanity comes along and asks the question, “ Is it popular? ” But Conscience asks the question, “ Is it right? ”’. Wrangled Way

  “ Blessed are the undefiled in the way, Who walk in the law of the Lord! Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, Who seek Him with the whole heart! They also do no iniquity; They walk in His ways. ” Psalms 119 : 1 - 3 NKJV There is no doubt that those who abuse the grace of God have little or no understanding of the concept of the narrow way. For  “ Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it ” ( Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭13‬-‭14‬).  The narrow way cannot be widened because it is not only strait , it is extremely wrangled.
