Sleep Stretch

“And in a window sat a certain young man named Eutychus, who was sinking into a deep sleep. He was overcome by sleep; and as Paul continued speaking, he fell down from the third story and was taken up dead...And they brought the young man in alive, and they were not a little comforted.”

One of the major sources of conflicts and confrontation in relationships and fellowship is the relevance of natural laws in the interpretation of spiritual matters. Of course, since natural laws are within the control of human beings, it is always difficult for any man to go docile on just the stretch of supernatural manifestation. And when matters (e.g., physical, material and financial) remain unsettled at home and in the fellowship of faith, the enemy is quick with the trigger of blame game. For example, the medical requirement for sleep hours in a day was violated by Paul’s overnight speaking stretch; and then followed by a fatal penalty of one of the audiences falling dead. And without divine intervention, it is obvious that would give the enemy the upper hand in his blame game. However, the divine intervention just shows that the enemy does not have the monopoly of stretching the natural laws governing the affairs of the people of faith, if faith is allowed to take the upper hand in the stretch for supernatural intervention.
