Inspired Intervention
“Now a certain woman named Lydia heard us. She was a seller of purple from the city of Thyatira, who worshiped God. The Lord opened her heart to heed the things spoken by Paul.”

Normally, it takes effective management skill for anyone to keep frustration out of relationships, through a consistent adoption of the interaction mode (and not the intervention mode) in communication. There would always be reasons for frustration, even before the possible presentation of the primary purpose of engagement, by either by faulting time, space, or the developing events and circumstances. For Paul in Philippi, even his audience (being women) at the riverside could have resulted into conflict of belief. Rather, he interacted with them while leaving the work of intervention to the Holy Spirit. Sometimes, our contradictory intervention in the affairs of people in life closes their hearts against possible inspiration by the Lord.
