Wise Will

“He went a little farther, and fell on the ground, and prayed that if it were possible, the hour might pass from Him. And He said, “Abba, Father, all things are possible for You. Take this cup away from Me; nevertheless, not what I will, but what You will. ”” ‭‭Mark‬ ‭14:35-36‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ https://www.bible.com/114/mrk.14.35-36.nkjv
The world’s earthly and human resources will readily provide useful guidance in almost all circumstances of life, especially when there is no conflict of interest between the will of God and the wisdom of man. But in the likely times of conflicts, Jesus’ experience in Gethsemane teaches the disciples the heavenly resources in taking a walk away from the counsel of mortal men. To the first layer of prospective counsellors, He said ‘Sit here, while I pray’; and to the second layer of prominent counsellors, He said ‘Stay here and watch’. Whereas, He walked further away and alone to pray and sort out the conflicts between the will of God and the will of the flesh. Obviously, in moments of overwhelming conflict in discerning the wise will in life, family, and ministry, prospective and prominent rocks within the reach of man may be unreliable. Sometimes, the wise will is found only in the Rock (Jesus Christ) that is higher and wiser than the wealth and wisdom of the entire world.
