Breakthrough Barriers

The experiences of the disappointed disciples of Jesus underscored the interdependence of the facts in past failure and the barriers to future fruitfulness in faith. The disciples’ memories of experiences leading to their present hideout constitutes a great barrier to future exercise of faith. It implies that, the arrest, suffering and the crucifixion of Jesus had created a huge wall of offence and loss of hope in the promises of God. With gradual accumulation of disappointment and failed experiences in life, a gentle graduation of unbelief to hardness of heart is possible. If the words of Jesus had suddenly appeared to be fruitless, how would anyone expect the disciples to believe those who had seen Him after He had risen? Likewise, our past failures and ugly experiences in life would often harden the hearts against the future manifestation of the glory of God. Notwithstanding, when Jesus Christ mercifully appears at the scene of believers’ despair, the marching order to victory, breakthrough, and advancement becomes the mandate of the souls.

Peaceful Pathway

Wrangled Way

  “ Blessed are the undefiled in the way, Who walk in the law of the Lord! Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, Who seek Him with the whole heart! They also do no iniquity; They walk in His ways. ” Psalms 119 : 1 - 3 NKJV There is no doubt that those who abuse the grace of God have little or no understanding of the concept of the narrow way. For  “ Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it ” ( Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭13‬-‭14‬).  The narrow way cannot be widened because it is not only strait , it is extremely wrangled.
