Fast Fasting

“And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine bursts the wineskins, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But new wine must be put into new wineskins.”” ‭‭Mark‬ ‭2:22‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ https://www.bible.com/114/mrk.2.22.nkjv
Following the path of progress is sometimes slow and uninviting, especially when a sustainable environment for the progress has not been created. Even in spiritual warfare and walk with the Lord, slow and steady strategy is mostly old-fashioned. For example, many disciples believe in fasting as a labour device for fast-tracking or circumventing due process in heaven transactions. While fast-tracking or fast fasting is resourceful for the production of the mundane things of this world, the making of a man after God’s own heart and for the fulfillment of His purposes requires patience with full fasting experiences. Throughout the three and half years of Christ’s ministry on earth, the scribes and the Pharisees were jealous at the power of influence through the words of grace from the Lord and upon the multitude. But they were constantly lost on the working strategy for fruitful ministry, especially with their religious adherence to the fast fasting strategy. After numerous attempts through their frustrating and smoke-screen enquires, Jesus simply opened up the cover with a concluding remark “But new wine must be put into new wineskins”. It is not enough to fast and pray for a new experience or position in life, especially when the prayer warrior is unprepared for the management of the new experience or position. However, when God is fully in-charge of the preparation of His disciples for greater glory, it is acknowledged that fast fasting to God is irrelevant compared to full fasting with God.
