Reserved Revelation

“Now it came to pass, as He sat at the table with them, that He took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them. Then their eyes were opened and they knew Him; and He vanished from their sight. And they said to one another, “Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?”” ‭‭Luke‬ ‭24:30-32‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ https://www.bible.com/114/luk.24.30-32.nkjv
Since secret things belong to God, several matters in human affairs are partially or permanently shrouded in secrecy, depending on the quality of human relationships with God. Painfully, there are certain depth of relationships that are considered not deep enough to unveil the seal for deeper revelation of the glory of God. For example, while Jesus walked, talked, and expounded the scriptures with these disciples from Jerusalem to Emmaus, they were unable to discover the person in relationship with them. The revelation of Jesus was reserved until they pleaded for a closer relationship and trusted his abiding company for the night; and then they had the opportunity to upgrade their relationship with Jesus to the level of blessing, breaking and sharing of bread. Just like the revelation of the person of Jesus would have been impossible without His invitation to the table, the invitation would have been unnecessary without the walk with Jesus along the revelation road. Invariably, every sincere heart in absolute search for divine peace, purity and the presence of God in life’s affairs cannot be denied the intimate revelation of His glory.
